Thanks for a great farmers market season

Thank you for all of the fun at farmers markets this past summer. If you are interested in eating Indian food in your home, check out the menu and call at least one day ahead.

Enjoy tasty Indian food at Ellsworth and Blue Hill farmers markets

Pick up tasty samosas, our famous koftas, and numerous Indian curries at the Ellsworth and Blue Hill farmers markets. Both markets are on Saturday. From 9:30am-12:30pm on Saturdays, you can find Tandoor Downeast and our friends at the Ellsworth Farmers Market. We are located in the Hancock Oil parking lot across from the Grand. In Blue Hill, visit us at the Congregational Church from 9:00am-11:30am. The Blue Hill Farmers Market likely runs until Columbus Day weekend, while the Ellsworth market runs through Halloween. We hope to see you at the farmers market!

Ellsworth Farmers Market starts Saturday, May 7

Join us every Saturday starting May 7 in downtown Ellsworth from 9:30am-12:30pm. Choose from a selection of tasty Indian curries, snacks, chutneys, pickles, and flat breads. On Saturdays, the Ellsworth Farmers Market is located in the Hancock Oil parking lot across from The Grand. We look forward to seeing you there!

Will Obama try a samosa?

With Obama and his family visiting Mount Desert Island on July 16, he has a chance to buy a samosa at the Ellsworth Farmers Market. President Obama can join us on Saturday from 9:30am-12:30pm in the Hancock Oil parking lot next to Maine Grind. We expect to see Obama and his family in Ellsworth on Saturday!

New markets - Stonington and Castine

If you live on Deer Isle or in the Castine area, you can enjoy fine Indian food when you visit the local farmers market. On Thursdays, you can meet us at the Castine Farmers Market (map) from 10am to noon. On Fridays, you can pick up Indian food at the Stonington market (map, market website). To ensure that you can pick up tasty breads, curries, and snacks, you can call ahead and reserve your order.

Picking up your order
We deliver to Bar Harbor during the week. Tandoor Downeast is located in Franklin, just 10 minutes east of Ellsworth. You are welcome to pick up there, or we can make arrangements. You can also make arrangements to pick up your order at the Blue Hill, Castine, Ellsworth, Northeast Harbor, Stonington, or Winter Harbor farmers markets.
